In the infinite wisdom of the Yoruba, one who lives on the river bank should not use their spit to wash their hands. Other Nigerians agree with this commonsense, as so do countless South Africans, Haitians and even Jamaicans. But what if one is crippled? What if they have a perpetual fear of drowning? What if?
