Fifth-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France closed out a five-set victory over Stanislas Wawrinka on Monday at the French Open, winning the last two games of a match that was suspended by darkness the night before.
Tsonga, trying to become the first Frenchman to win any Grand Slam title since Yannick Noah’s championship at Roland Garros in 1983, defeated Wawrinka 6-4, 7-6 (6), 3-6, 3-6, 6-4.
