UMBC launches Hrabowski fund for innovation

In 2011, University of Maryland-Baltimore County (UMBC) President Freeman A. Hrabowski received the Carnegie Corporation of New York’s Academic Leadership Award, one of the highest honors given to an educator.

The award included a US$500,000 grant.

Dr. Hrabowski decided to utilize the grant to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and student success at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County.
