More youth in Jamaica turning to entrepreneurship as unemployment lingers - JDBC

Entrepreneurship in Jamaica is on the rise - and this partly fueled by a persistently high unemployment rate - national unemployment currently stands at 14 percent while youth unemployment is at 37 percent.

According to Harold Davis the deputy CEO of the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC), there has been increased activity in accessing the services provided by the corporation by the country's youth - an indicator many are taking the entrepreneurial route.
