Dominica National Security Minister Charles Savarin (pictured), has resigned from the Cabinet. His departure paves the way for his nomination as ruling party's candidate for the post of President of Dominica.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, speaking on the state-owned DBS radio on Thursday morning, said that Savarin’s name would be forwarded to the parliament ahead of the election of a new head of state on September 30.
