Earvin "Magic" Johnson launched his "Friends of Magic" initiative in Chicago on Wednesday.
The idea is to help at-risk students, including dropouts, graduate from high school.

Johnson, Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn and a host of business owners and celebrities, attended the event at Magic Johnson Bridgescape Academy, another education facility backed in part by Johnson’s business enterprises.
