Liquid Telecom looking to launch VoIP service in Kenya

Liquid Telecom Kenya is entering the voice market in search of a new stream of revenues, reports the Business Daily.

The firm will offer fixed-line services through the internet, with on-net calls free.

Charges for calls to other networks will be released at the launch in the first quarter of 2014. CEO Shahab Meshki said the company is targeting between 5,000 to 10,000 homes with the bundled services and will be investing US$ 5 million in the launch.
