Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) has announced that the mandatory e-filing of certain tax returns came into effect on March 1, 2014.
The new e-filing requirement comes as the Jamaican tax agancy plans to phase in a mandatory requirement for all returns. Large taxpayers with a turnover of more than J$ 500 million (US$ 4.6 million) are now expected to e-file all returns for which that capability exists.
