Jamaica looking to auction more wireless spectrum licences

Jamaica is looking to auction two licences for use of the 700 MHz band, then intention of this process is to attract new entrants to the wireless telecommunications market in the island-nation.

This was revealed by the country's minister minister of science, technology, energy and mining Phillip Paulwell during a parliamentary session. The licenses, he said, should have been issued to the new cellular entrants by July 15th this year.
