The opposition People’s Progressive Movement led by Alden McLaughlin (pictured), won the elections in the Cayman Islands, however, McLaughlin will need to form a coalition government, given that his party won 9 out of 18 ridings - one short of a majority.
Embattled former premier McKeeva Bush - who is facing 11 charges of charges of corruption, theft and fraud was winner in his riding located in the West Bay district. His United Democratic Party was victor in 4 ridings.
